BOTANICAL SPA THERAPY: Whole Body Detoxification

herbalapothecary2

Herbal apothecary

T’is the season to start considering detoxification. The new year will provide many opportunities for a ‘healthier you’ and many different detoxification strategies, especially after a season of merriment. Your liver and detoxification pathways may need some extra help.  Read my blog post MAINTAINING HEALTHY LONGEVITY: Keep Your Liver Happy in the Midst of Toxins, Distress and Happy Hour to learn more. If your olfactory bulb is offended by smells (you cannot stand the smell of scents even natural ones) or you have lost your sense of smell then you are probably showing the signs of body pollution and toxicant induced loss of tolerance.

The picture above displays some of my herb collection.  My study of the medicinal benefits of herbs while I was striving to recover my health, brought me the greatest gift.  After many trial and error detoxification strategies, mostly designed to be consumed; I had a light bulb moment one day while taking a bath. In my studies to become a nutritional consultant it was clear there were many body parts and systems involved in the detoxification process.  As a reviewed what I had tried so far to regain my health and the medicinal properties of herbs that I was drinking, I thought, ‘if my skin is my largest organ, why not use it to detoxify me more thoroughly?’ ‘What would happen if I used the medicinal herbs in a bath tea’?  Well the results were amazing.  The greatest gains that I made in my health recovery from body pollution and toxicant induced loss of tolerance (TILT) came from whole body detoxification using the botanical spa herbal therapy that I designed. The herbal bath tea mix was combined with sea salt, baking soda and apple cider vinegar.  You can learn about the individual detoxification properties of the botanical spa therapy bath ingredients in my book.  You will find the botanical spa therapy herbal bath recipe and instructions in Chapter 6, Detoxify, of my book.

My additional detoxification strategies now also include green drinks and herbal detox tea mixes.

Get started today on your detoxification plans for the new year for ‘a healthier you’!. Check with your regular healthcare practitioner before proceeding with any form of detoxification as there may be contraindications due to health, medications or other factors.

My study of medicinal herbs, included in my Nutritional Consultant course, was through the writings of Maria Treben, an Austrian herbalist and author of the books Health from God’s Garden and Health Through God’s Pharmacy. My library also hosts The Encyclopedia of Medicinal Herbs.  If you want to learn more about herbs I would recommend these books as your ‘go to’.

THE GIFT of a Healthy Brain: Strategies to Protect and Restore Optimum Brain Function

gifthealthybrain

As many of my friends, family and clients know, I have had my brain challenges.  The good news is that my brain now functions better than it ever has before and I intend to make sure it stays that way.

My past periods of depression and compromised brain function were the result of various factors including, body and brain pollution from toxins, toxicant induced loss of tolerance (TILT), stress and stress sensitization, and lack of resilience.  You can read about how I was affected by all of these in my blog posts and website ‘about‘ page. I am grateful for the information, guidance and natural strategies that have helped to restore my brain health.

With the looming statistics for dementia, which my mother suffered from, and Alzheimers, my focus moving forward is on preventing mental decline as I age.

What did it take to restore and improve my brain to better health?

What am I doing to protect my brain?

The preceding information may seem daunting.  It took me 10 years of research and trial and error strategies to make major gains in my health.  I now feel healthy, energetic and more resilient. I have condensed all of the information and resources that brought me to ‘my healthier me’ and you can use my  holistic protocol (guide) to achieve your ‘healthier you’.  It works! Each new client receives a copy of my book and uses it as a guide to help them restore and maintain their health.

News – Medical Sciences:

Japanese scientists have isolated active compounds in several plant medicines. These techniques helped the scientists identify and isolate active compounds found in Drynaria rhizome, a plant medicine that can improve memory. It has been proven to reduce disease characteristics in mice models with Alzheimer’s disease.

A 2012 study shows that rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), a common plant used to distil essential oil, can also help improve cognitive performance in healthy adults. Also, rosemary can boost brain performance.

In another study in 2013, scientists found that rosemary may enhance the ability to remember events. Also, it helps people keep future tasks in mind. Since memory loss is one of the hallmark symptoms of dementia, this function could make rosemary oil and important component of therapy to combat dementia.

Scientists also found that six essential oils, namely thyme, rose, clove, eucalyptus, bergamot and fennel, are capable of suppressing the inflammatory COX-2 enzyme. The effect is similar to that of resveratrol, one of the important compounds that gives red wine its health benefits.

Of all the essential oils, thyme produces the highest reduction in COX-2 levels by about 75 percent. The other essential oils reduced the COX-2 level by 25 percent. Neuroquantology – Progress of Essential Oils in Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease –

EO, as one of the effective constituents of natural plants, is more and more recognized by people for its medicinal value and health care value. Through the analysis of different pathogenic mechanisms of AD, the anti-oxidation of EO against acetylcholinesterase inhibition, Aβ depolymerization, free radical injury and the protection of PC12 injured cells, it can be seen that EO of various plants has the activity of preventing and treating AD. The use of EO has many kinds of ways, such as oral administration, fumigation, smearing and so on. Combined with its excellent anti-AD activity, EO has the potential value of developing natural drugs for the treatment of neurogenic diseases. At present, more studies on anti-AD activity of EO are ongoing, but we haven’t made clear the key components of many plants’ essential oil, the synergetic effect of each component in EO, and in-depth anti-AD mechanism, which needs more researches.   https://www.neuroquantology.com/index.php/journal/article/view/1583

MIRACLES: How to Implement a Placebo Cure, Radical Remission or Spontaneous Remission

Link

 miracletoolkit

When I drafted The Whole Person Well-being Equation years ago, I wrote about the significance of belief and the other ingredients of the well-being recipe mix (Pg 85).

The Well-being Recipe Mix

recipemix

Since that time research has provided so much more insight into the importance and power of belief to ‘change your health outcome’. The scientific evidence is fuel for your ‘belief and hope’; about what is possible in terms of recovery and a cure. The new research on ‘the placebo’ effect’ as a mind body healing strategy completes the understanding necessary for your body and mind to implement a placebo cure, radical remission or spontaneous remission. Get started today! The research proves that you have everything that you need.

“Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work.

The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force

Update:  Recently, I watched Miracle from Heaven again with my family at my grand daughter’s request.  It was the second time for me.  It reminded me of how I started to ask God for miracles at the age of seven when my brother was diagnosed with ‘an incurable’ type of cancer. My mother would say ‘pray for a miracle’. I would obediently pray for a miracle, not really understanding how miracles work. Now, many years later, after bartering with God many times for miracles over the years and seeing so many people defy the odds of their diagnoses; I understand that miracles come in different ways, some times all at once in a spontaneous remission and other times in small deliveries in a radical remission. Either way you describe it, they are miracles. If you haven’t already watched this amazing film based on the true story of a little girl with an incurable disease, I promise you it will inspire and make you believe in miracles. Heaven is Real is another amazing video based on a true story about a miracle. Check them out below.

Have you asked and prayed for a miracle? Are you expecting it to arrive all at once or is it being delivered to you in multiple deliveries, like some of my Amazon purchases. My miracles of recovery from multiple diagnosed health challenges over the years have come in multiple deliveries over time, for which am abundantly grateful.  I continue to ask for and expect ‘more healing’. More is possible, ‘do not’ stop believing and asking and watching for the multiple deliveries that make up a miracle.

Where do you start?

  • Understand what the placebo effect, spontaneous remission or radical remission are:
    • According to the dictionary the placebo effect is a beneficial effect, produced by a placebo drug or treatment, that cannot be attributed to the properties of the placebo itself, and must therefore be due to the patient’s belief in that treatment.
    • According to The Radical Remission Project, “a Radical Remission is a cancer remission that occurs either without conventional medical treatment, after conventional treatment has failed to work, or when conventional and complementary methods are used in conjunction to overcome a dire prognosis. We believe that, given enough documented cases to research, the cause(s) of Radical Remission can be uncovered.”
    • A spontaneous remission is an unexpected improvement or cure from a disease that usually progresses. These terms are commonly used for unexpected transient or final improvements in cancer.
  • Become informed about the placebo effect, radical remission and spontaneous remission research.
      • Dr. Lissa Rankin has done an incredible job in her video segment, The Placebo Effect:  How to Use Your Mind-Body Connection to Heal. This is a  must view to understand the research so that your brain can be updated about what is ‘scientifically’ possible.

      • The Genie in Your Genes, Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention, Chapter 6 Belief Therapy by Dawson Church.

      • Understand the science behind the power of believing and using it as ‘believe/belief therapy’ in The Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton.

Paid Link:  “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases (book above)”

    • Understand the power of belief when used in visualization.
    • Understand the external environmental influences that interfere with the epigenetic health cycle. These can be found in The Genie in Your Genes, Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention by Dawson Church.
    • Understand the research behind spontaneous remissions and the placebo.
    • Immunity over inability: The spontaneous regression of cancer
    • The Spontaneous Remission Project, put together by the Institute of Noetic Sciences, collected over 3,500 case studies published in medical literature about people who experienced spontaneous remissions from seemingly “incurable diseases.”
    • Understand how to repair your epigenome regardless of whether you have genetic predispositions to conditions and diseases. Epigenome is the complete description of all the chemical modifications to DNA and histone proteins that regulate the expression of genes within the genome.
    • The Radical Remission Project is a database of cancer remissions that occurs either without conventional medical treatment, after conventional treatment has failed to work, or when conventional and complementary methods are used in conjunction to overcome a dire prognosis.

Practice self-help:

  • According to the Harvard Men’s Health Watch article The Power of the Placebo Effect, Harvard Health Publishing, Harvard Medical School; you can ‘Give yourself a placebo’.
    • “Practicing self-help methods is one way. Engaging in the ritual of healthy living — eating right, exercising, yoga, quality social time, meditating — probably provides some of the key ingredients of a placebo effect,” says Kaptchuk.
  • Relaxation is a key required ingredient in the placebo cure cycle. This gives your body the required rest time to promote balance and repair.
  • From The Genie in Your Genes, Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention by Dawson Church; belief, nurturing, energy medicine, visualization, energy psychology, heart coherence, spirituality, meditation, attitude, prayer and altruism are a part of the epigenetic health cycle. The addition of these to your daily life will promote high DHEA levels which are adaptive, contributing to gene repair. Chronic stress produces chronic cortisol which is maladaptive and prevents gene repair.  Look for more strategies to support your epigenetic health cycle in The Whole Person Well-being Equation below.

You can find a diverse selection of self-help therapies and tools (Chapter 7), including customized visualizations to correct faulty immunosurveillance, immunoassessment and immunoresponse (Chapter 7, page 147) in The Whole Person Well-being Equation.

The holistic strategies make up my ‘coach in a book’ and provide you with instructions on how to use the ‘radical cure’ toolkit tools to promote understanding, belief and relaxation; prompting your body to ‘give yourself a placebo effect, radical or spontaneous remission’. The book also contains ‘doubt busting’ supports and resources (page 92).

Get started today on implementing your placebo cure or radical remission.  As Hippocrates indicated, you have the power within you, you just need some help!

CONNECT WITH YOUR INNER CHILD: For a healthier you!

Connectwithyourinnerchild

Regardless of whether your childhood was traumatic or not, connecting with your inner child as an adult can provide you with some insights and opportunities or ‘a healthier you’ in the present.

That’s a picture of me on the right above as we are boarding the airplane in Amsterdam to immigrate to Canada in 1953. With the recent passing of my mother in the spring of this year I felt like an orphan and it took me time to process my feelings, including grief. I grew up with loving parents who raised me with loving, faith filled care. My inner child was a very sensitive and bashful child and I still display those personality traits as an adult at times – ‘not a mental illness’. Some researchers suggest that emotional sensitivity is an intrinsic part of people with high abilities and driven by perfectionism.  Regardless, this is the way God created me. Fast forward to today and I am connecting with my inner child and celebrating my uniqueness daily.

As a holistic wellness practitioner I spend much of my time researching physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health challenges; and what strategies might help people to manage or overcome them. Emotional aromatherapy has been a valuable strategy for me and my clients, helping them to connect with their inner child and sometimes suppressed or misunderstood emotions and personality traits.

I have been increasingly drawn to particular essential oils during this time of inner reflection.  Interestingly the oil that has had the greatest draw for me has been Ylang Ylang, the oil of the inner child. Ylang ylang is recommended to reconnect an individual with the child self and the pure, simple ways of the heart. For those with past emotional trauma, it is a powerful remedy for release. It also helps to release bottled up emotions.

To learn more about the use of essential oils to heal your inner child or other emotions, I would recommend the Emotions & Essential Oils, A Modern Resource for Healing, Emotional Reference Guide.  It comes with a companion Emotions & Essential Oils Wheel which makes it easy to select the right oil for what you are feeling.

HOMEOSTASIS CHECK UP: How’s Your Internal Balancing Act Working for You?

Image result for homeostasis

The Great Balancing Act power point – https://www.slideshare.net/coachpointer/homeostasis-4-themes-ppt

ho·me·o·sta·sis
/ˌhōmēəˈstāsəs/
noun
the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes.

From the previous definition and the image above it is clear that homeostasis is the maintenance of a balanced internal environment. Homeostasis requires an orchestrated approach on a daily basis of feedback loops, structure and function, division of labour and interdependence of organ systems.

A properly working internal environment provides (homeostasis):

  • maintains a constant body temperature through sweating, shivering, dilation/constriction of blood vessels at skin surface, insulation by adipose tissue, breakdown of adipose tissue to produce heat
  • maintains the proper level of glucose in the body by the release of insulin and glucagon into the blood in response to rising and falling blood glucose levels,
  • maintains the proper level of salt, water and sugar in the blood
  • maintains the proper pH levels in various body parts body
  • maintains the proper hormone levels in the body
  • maintains a constant correct level of essential elements (e.g. copper/zinc) and nutrients, eliminating excesses
  • maintains proper oxygen/carbon dioxide levels by an increase in breathing rate in response to increased carbon dioxide levels in the blood, and release of carbon dioxide into exhaled air from lungs
  • maintains proper detection of viruses, bacteria, parasites and abnormal cells and mounts an appropriate immunoresponse
  • maintains proper blood pressure by sending messages to the brain to increase or decrease
  • maintains proper body weight, fat storage
  • maintains proper body and brain chemistry

Toxins, the damage they do and other factors including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual stressors can interfere with the communication and feedback loops required for proper ongoing homeostasis. Some genetic factors can also be responsible for challenged homeostasis within the body.

What can you do to improve and maintain ongoing homeostasis in your body?

  • eat a well balanced diet, taking lessons from the places in the world where people live the longest and the healthiest; without diseases common to North Americans – See the Blue Zones.  See my post on Plant Slant Fare: For ‘a healthier you’
  • live a balanced life. Life Balance: The Well-being Root.
  • maintain ongoing adequate detoxification to ensure proper body communication, feed back loops and functions
    • Two step detoxification:  stop adding toxins and remove existing body pollution.  Find out how in Chapter 6 of The Whole Person Well-being Equation which includes the Botanical Spa Therapy whole body detoxification recipe.
    • Add natural symptom relief strategies. Use of ‘anti’ type of medications (antihistamines, antidepressants, antipsychotics, antibiotics, antispasmodics, or antihypertensives) have been associated with memory loss issues.
  • restore your body’s original correct settings, defaults and setpoints

Wishing you a balanced body, mind, spirit and life!

BOOKS: A Source of Health Giving Software

Library

A book is a garden, an orchard, a storehouse, a party, a company by the way, a counsellor, a multitude of counsellors.”

Charles Baudelaire, Poet

books

As Dr. Seuss once wrote, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

The book case above holds a small collection of the books that I have read in my quest for health recovery.  The knowledge gained from the many books that I have read throughout my search for improved health, have in essence become the ‘software’ that my body, brain and mind have used to help restore my health.  Just like a ‘how to’  DIY book can help you build a bookshelf, the knowledge in the books you read that are relevant to how the body, brain and mind do and can function; increases your body and mind’s software knowledge – providing instructions to accomplish the task of restoring and improving health. Reading about ‘miracles’ and ‘out there’ concepts (many scientifically backed) challenges your brain to accept that ‘more is possible’, a concept I impress upon my clients.  It you settle, then ‘more is not possible’.  You need to give your brain, mind and body permission to consider that ‘more is possible’, if you expect more!

Software Definition:

soft·ware

Knowledge Definition:

 .
  1. facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
    “a thirst for knowledge”

Why would you need to add software to what your preprogrammed body does automatically?  Our body’s communication and response system (your #911) was not equipped for being disrupted by synthetic, toxic interference. On a daily basis you are exposed to a multitude of interfering factors.

I have taken the collection of information from the reading of many books and summarized their relevance to my health recovery from multiple health challenges into a holistic protocol that can be found in my book The Whole Person Well-being Equation and e-books.  I encourage my clients to read the books that have helped me by referencing them in my book and blog posts. Understanding that when one’s health is compromised clients may find the task of reading overwhelming, I provide a copy of my summarized holistic protocol in my book, to each holistic health consultation client. The easy to read and follow steps in my book give straight forward guidance for clients to implement for recovery and improved health.  Get started on a healthier you today, start reading books that will lead you there.

GRIEF: Here We Go Again!

grief

When my mother passed away early this year, after a long and painful decline in health, I was initially relieved because I knew that her years of suffering were over. The vigilance and need for support that accompanied my mother’s many years of suffering was suddenly gone. That sense of vigilance and support prevented me from fully grieving my father when he passed away several years earlier. The sense of relief that my mother was no longer suffering carried me through until Mother’s Day when I entered another phase of grief; and no I am not talking about the five stages you have all probably been told are ‘normal’. I felt lost, flat (lethargy and apathy), empty, sad and like an orphan. Hard to believe that at 66 one could feel like an orphan. Every day that passes presents me with a mixed bag of emotions, some days more challenging than others.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ cycle of grief. You will be told that grieving is a process. It is a very personal process and no two people will go through the process in the same way. The time frame for grieving is different for everyone and the emotions may change daily. Despite my daily goal to be positive and upbeat; world events, bad news and stressors impacted my grief. Past grief can add to present grief (compounded grief) to magnify the impact and body’s responses.  Old wounds can be triggered by the loss. The body and mind have a reduced ability to cope with stressors (physical, mental, emotional or spiritual) when we are grieving. Previous vulnerabilities and health challenges can revisit. Other factors can add to feelings of grief.   From a grief counselling perspective – whatever you are feeling is normal. Feelings matter, as does expressing feelings appropriately, and having people tell you ‘you need to get over that’, does not help.

feelings-chart6http://aasrahelpline.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

When my husband passed away in 2010 after suffering through a horrific melanoma skin cancer battle, my grief was different. Despite my initial sense of relief that his suffering was over, the bag of varied emotions that presented over the years was vast and at times over the years, still is.

Counselling provides strategies to help deal with grief, and doctors provide prescriptions for medications to numb or dull the impact, and others to help you sleep. After my ongoing recovery from toxicant induced loss of tolerance (TILT) for chemicals, I chose not to take medications after my husband’s death. Grief can make you more vulnerable to past stressors. The lungs hold onto grief and my respiratory system seemed more vulnerable and reactive during times of grief, including during the last two Christmas season when I experienced a sore throat and cough.  I rode the wave of emotions that followed; sometimes feeling like I was making progress and sometimes feeling like I was going down for the count. Luckily I had my amazing children (their spouses) and grandchildren to support me.

This time around the ‘grief cycle’ I have more options for dealing with the day to day emotions that surface. I have immense gratitude to my daughter Amanda who introduced me to essential oils several years ago. I also have immense gratitude to God for the bounty of plant essences that provide us with comfort and healing. Essential oils are my daily ‘go to’ to ride the grief wave of emotions and help my body and mind process what I am feeling.  There is one specific oil combination that can help, for me it allows me to cry, which I have not always been able to do. So if you need some consoling you may want to consider diffusing this oil. The emotions wheel recommendations and the specific emotional aromatherapy essential oils provide a full range of relief options.  I love to diffuse oils in the morning. I use a variety of essential oils to help me ride the wave of emotions that present daily while I am grieving or stressed. I take a blend of essential oils when the grief feels like it will overwhelm me; a safer and more natural option to tranquilizers and sleeping medications.  It provides me with calm and comfort while ensuring that I get a good night’s sleep.  You can order this amazing combination here. Bonus, for me, whatever waste gets flushed will not hurt the environment.

Butterfly effect

In July of 2019 I was again thrown into the grief cycle with the suicide of a friend.  It ‘rocked’ my core.  He was the most happy go lucky, considerate and loving man to his wife that I had ever met.  He was not sick and there was not forewarning for his wife or friends and family.  I stepped back into the grief process, medicated with a combination of calming and comforting oils and started art therapy to help me through.

Health Intention: Designing What You See to Get What You Want

building intention

You may be familiar with the saying ‘what you see is what you get’.  This phrase took on a whole new meaning for me when I did the research for my book.  I seriously have to say that I was blown away by the research that is available to document the power of a person’s intention to change their biology, DNA, health.  Visualizations can be customized using information from test results, your research and answers to the questions you ask your healthcare provider. The specific information associated with a diagnosis and a prognosis provides useful data to develop visualizations. You are a unique human being like no other person, and your DNA test results which reflect your uniqueness can be used to develop customized visualizations.

My client’s visualizations were customized using their personal health information.  The results have been amazing.

The information about your symptoms or condition and your research provides you with a basic understanding of your relevant body parts and systems and how they should normally function (e.g., anatomy, physiology, biochemistry). The following is an example from my book The Whole Person Well-being Equation, of a customized visualization, developed using information from test results and information provided by a doctor or research.

customize visualization

You have the power to change your health. Learn how to customize (design) your visualizations to get the health results that you want. You are the architect of your health outcome. Order your copy of The Whole Person Well-being today to get started.

In my book THE WHOLE PERSON WELL-BEING EQUATION you will find:

  • 40 general body scan visualizations for improved health

  • 18 customized body scan visualizations to fight diseases and cancer

Seniors Co-Living: From Concept to Reality in Rockwood, Ontario in 2018

OakHillLogo2

In 2014 my family moved my parents from a retirement home into a nursing home at my father’s request. I started to think forward about what type of housing situation I might want when I reached their age.  Up until that day I never considered the cost of retirement or nursing home living.  That changed radically when our family ‘did the math’ about our parents’ choices.  On the day we moved our parents into the nursing home we estimated that our parents had enough money to cover the cost of staying in the two nursing home rooms for three years.  My mother and father wanted to have two private rooms at the nursing home like they did in the retirement home, one as a sitting room and one as their bedroom.

I came away from that day knowing that I would be challenged to be able to afford most retirement home living options with my present income; and that I did not want to spend my last days sharing a ward room in a nursing home should I needed long term care. I shared my frustration with Anne and she too started to be concerned about being able to afford her future ‘retirement housing options’.

‘There had to be another solution’. My search began at my computer searching for alternative affordable retirement housing options.  That is how I found co-housing for seniors.  I researched the history of senior’s co-housing and places where it was available. Anne and I liked the shared home alternative option and we started the Rockwood Co-Living Interest Group to share the information with other people to try to generate interest for a local home. There are any different versions of co-housing, co-living and shared housing to be found around the world. The differences between them can be quite distinct determined by factors like location, financing, interests and group dynamics. I designed Oak Hill from a combination of other shared housing designs, including the layout of the private retirement home that I was director of in the past as well as committee input. Janette, the owner of the original home and property now known as Oak Hill, has customized her shared home ‘co-living’ lifestyle experience to fit her vision.

Since I plan to continue working and I see clients in my present home, I will not be making a move into shared housing at this time. Seniors co-living will be my preferred downsizing housing solution in the future as an affordable, supportive alternative to nursing home living.

For now I am actively involved in bringing Oak Hill Co-Living to completion at 125 Richardson Street in Rockwood. The Rockwood Co-Living Interest Group’s role in launching Oak Hill Co-Living is almost complete. Oak Hill is now ready for move in.   Visit the Oak Hill website at www.oakhillcoliving.com for more information and contacts.

The Rockwood Co-Living Interest Group will be available to Oak Hill upon request as a co-living/co-housing resource if needed. If you would like to meet with the Rockwood Co-Living Interest Group about a property in Rockwood that you would like to adapt as a co-living home, please contact me, Elisabeth Hines at elisabethlhines@gmail.com.

HEALTH TRIGGERS: Managing What Sets You Off On A Daily Basis

triggered

My last post was on how to avoid dangerous substances.

HOW TO AVOID DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES: For ‘a healthier you’!

If you suffer from food allergies, TILT, EI, MCS, depression, migraines or other skewed body response physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually; my last post is a must read.

On a daily basis many people are triggered regularly by numerous triggers.  Believe it or not the triggers can be anything.  Your equivalent ‘little black box’ records real and perceived threats and history about many factors that have harmed you in the past.  In present day your body may mount a ‘skewed’ or abnormal response to similar triggers, real or perceived – leading to unwanted symptoms on any level.  Some triggers present physical symptoms while others may affect thinking, memory or brain chemistry. Some triggers send people into ballistic emotional responses.

You may know people who are affected by changes in barometric pressure, experiencing migraines or joint pain or others who are affected by the full moon. Why is every person not affected by changes in barometric pressure?

Using neuromuscularbiofeedback I have been able to assess my triggers on an ongoing basis and those of my clients, and work to stop or reprogram any ‘skewed’ or abnormal responses.  How do I do it?  There are several methods.  The best time to stop these triggered responses is to manage them during an episode or exposure.  Tapping sequences and changing the valuation that my and my clients’ body and brain have given the triggers, neutralizes them by changing the valuation over time.  Using these steps in combination with other holistic strategies I have been able to recover from EI, TILT, MCS, depression, food allergies and more.  It is also how I help clients to recover from unwanted trigger responses. You can achieve the same results by following my protocol.  Read more about my ‘trigger busing’ protocol in my blog post:
