Bookmarks can be a lovely way to spread love, tolerance and peace messages. The newly embellished bookmarks above have been designed with some of my favorite quotes. Each bookmark has been embellished with radiant metallic gold craft paint, and flowers and leaves from my garden and rural wanderings. These inspirational bookmarks make a perfect gift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design is now available for download so you can print it and add your own gold embellishments and dried flowers. I used a linen type of cardstock<\/a> and my inkjet printer. Set your printer to cardstock if you have problems printing, I did not need to change my setting. Use a paper cutter to separate the bookmarks, using the black separator lines along the top and bottom of the page. The ‘sample’ watermark will not be on your download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gold peace heart and top and bottom border of each bookmark were embellished with some Craft Smart Radiant Gold craft paint<\/a> (use light coats to prevent the cardstock from absorbing it). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recommend using art craft tweezers<\/a> and matte mod podge<\/a> (use light coats to prevent the cardstock from absorbing it) to help secure the fragile dried flowers and leaves. Top the dried flowers with a thin layer of matt mod podge, allow to dry and apply another thin cost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I use old dictionary and encyclopedia books to dry my flowers, you may want to try a dried flower press<\/a> for your harvested plant materials. My tower of books drying pressed flowers sometimes likes to topple! There are even flower presses to dry flowers instantly in the microwave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My bookmark designs are copyrighted. This digital download is for personal use and not to be copied for resale (with or without your embellishments). Dried flowers, cardstock and gold paint are not included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
